Auto Captioning of YouTube Videos
Youtube reports that video clips in the Engklish language would be automatically captioned.
this move is to ensure that the site is more accessible for Britain’s nine million or so hearing impaired or deaf people
Google said that the service is just at the beginning stages and the automatic software is not yet perfect.
The transcript for content could be downloaded by video owners and enhanced wherever necessary.
Based on the technology which powers Google Voice Search, the captions would be very accurate if the video promises a good audio track. The company promises that it will definitely be enhanced with the passing of each day.
With the help of a button, users would be able to request the auto captioning of the existing videos at the earliest.
After processing, the captions would be made available at a button click, at the video player’s bottom right.
