Apple to Extend Cloud Storage to Films and Televisions
A new move by Apple includes creating a new data center in North Carolina. There are no details on the type of data would the center house. Some speculates that the data center in North Carolina would be the base of Apple’s streaming headquarters. It may also include the cloud storage technology that Apple has recently dived into.
Apple recently had spoken to a number of film studios in regards of allowing their contents to be purchased from iTunes. This also includes hosting these contents in the company’s servers which would most probably come from the cloud computing.
However, Apple has yet to comment on this until the matter is final. Some companies have also emerged together to gain control over digital media standards and such groups are the DECE or Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem. Some of its well known members include Twentieth Century Fox Film as well as Sony.
