Wireless Broadband – Verizon Increases Bandwidth in Rochester

Broadband giants Verizon recently added 21 more cell sites in Livingstone Counties and Monroe, Ontario in order to increase the bandwidth capacity of the wireless broadband connection to the subscribers in the listed areas. The company claimed that this measure was taken so as to enhance the 3G and wireless broadband services in the listed areas which were earlier added in the month of January in the year 2010. Since the 3G had been introduced, the number of customers had been increasing at a constant rate. So in order to provide consistent services, they had to install additional cell sites so that they can increase their bandwidth.

With an increase in the bandwidth of the 3G channel, they will be easily able to handle more number of customers than before and provide them with better 3G services. This is surely improved the data transmission speeds and the quality of video streaming.

I had heard that fiber installation was under way in Farmington at some new housing developments. Their installer told me that a month ago. Very interesting that fiber is being talked about. I suppose that it will be quite some time until they are able to rewire the whole area with fiber. But this is all good news for the Rochester area.

of course, to keep promises to customers, a company like Verizone must take steps in providing committed bandwidth and Verizone cant take a risk at all.

It’s a good news for Verizon users. But as this operator is not available in India. I personally think Verizon must come to India with their great service.

Wow, 50meg is only a very-very wild dream here in Central-Europe, I’m stuck with a 1meg connection, and I only hope to be able to change to 4megs soon. I envy you very much!:D
