T-Mobile’s G-2 Posing to Be a Contender in the Smartphone Market

T-Mobile is not only known for its super cool cheap rates, but also, the company has been releasing some really nice handsets as well. So far, we’ve seen em’ all but there ain’t nothing like the new G2, which looks pretty nifty on paper.

T-Mobile%E2%80%99s-G-2The G2 is said to be the first HSPA+ device that makes complete usage of the carrier’s network. Add Android 2.2 Froyo on the default installation list of G2 and you’ve got yourself something better than the Xperia series. It’s because SE’s Xperia 10 is still sitting ducks with Android OS 1.6.

According to analysts, the closest phone to reach G2 is Motorola Droid 2. The latter device takes the edge with a slight quality increase in terms of screen resolution. However, G2 has a nice camera, an HDMI port, bigger screen and practically all basic features that make it a phone worthy of a decent competition.

G2 is nothing like the previous T-Mobile G1. The new smartphone is something new and unlike other company products, the G2 doesn’t look like a rip off of any previous models. The Nielsen Research Group has found that the G2 has enough potential to compete against an elite Android smartphone. Though, I don’t think that it may be true but T-Mobile’s latest release does have the cojones to last a bit longer in the market.
