Apple is now feeling the heat with lack of people interested in buying its products. It seems like recession is still not yet over for Apple. Apple last week announced that iPad will be shipped in US starting at $499.
If reports are to be believed, there are problems for Apple with Taiwanese Manufacturer Hon Hai Precision, popularly known as Foxconn. Due to a manufacturing bug, there would be just 300K units of Apple iPad at the launch. However the expected units were 1000K. This seems to be 70% less than the estimated production of iPad Units to be available at launch.
However Apple is expected to ship around 1.2 Million iPad units by the end of the year 2010. So the other pricing rumor from a reliable source is that iPad would cost £389 for a 16GB model, similarly £439 for a 32GB model and it is also rumored that it will be launched in the UK in April.
So it is expected that iPhone 4G will cost much lesser than anticipated. What do you think?
