Microsoft Antipiracy Windows Update

Microsoft is quickly losing revenue to users that are using pirated version of Windows 7. There are millions of computers that are equipped with these versions and it may cost the company on losing billions of dollars in the process.

On the issue of tackling this problem however, Microsoft has recently given an update on Windows 7 on detecting systems that are using Windows 7. The update was distributed using the Windows Update application available in all Windows 7 computers.

However, this update can be opt-out by those that are using the pirated versions. Most often than not, people will choose to update automatically but those that are cautious may not be caught on act.

The danger of using pirated version of Windows 7 lies in the malicious codes implemented in these operating systems. Some of them have backdoors that will not be detected by antivirus softwares and some even have a keyboard logging program in it as well.

Hate to say this but, windows 7 along with all other os’s out there have spyware in it pirated or not. Most people using a pirate version of windows will asume there is keylogers trojans included in the hacked version, but this does not stop them from using it. All the people i know out there that have more than two computers have a pirate version of windows or even hackintosh.

Because windows 7 runs much better than vista did, I find more people are installing windows 7 on older xp computers.

My self i use a genuine version of windows 7 just to say away from all the headaches that come along with a pirate version of any os, like windows anti piracy updates.

Spyware made by the manufacturer (in this case Microsoft) may seem fine as they may put it to good cause but in the hands of a hacker, it will definitely mean trouble.
I guess people have their own reasons for using pirated version and Microsoft have every right to put a stop to it. Although I don’t actually see them exercising these acts so much. Maybe they should hire one of the crackers to make it bulletproof instead.
