A couple of days ago, Samsung announced the production of a new GPU for smartphones. The Orion SoC will have some amazing GPU capabilities, and it is being said that the graphics performance of all upcoming Samsung smartphones will be 5 times more than that of the existing models.
More likely, the technology is being adopted by other companies, such as: Apple, in a unique fashion. The Steve Jobs’s dome boasts of some remarkable features for the upcoming smartphone. We’re talking about the iPhone 5, with a new A5 processor that will supposedly display graphics that will be equivalent to that of the PS3.
Likewise, Samsung has an i9000 Galaxy S handset, which is one of the top performers on the latest GLBenchmark Pro 1.1. The GPU scored 1834 frames compared to the Nexus One’s paltry 501 frames and the iPhone 4/s 1040 frame rate.
We are expecting that the multi core variant of all upcoming GPUs for next gen smartphones will be loaded with something extraordinary. Apple and Samsung are two popular contenders, rest of the party isn’t known yet. Stay tuned for major updates concerning this article.

This is why those who rushed out to buy the iPhone 4 incremental upgrade were foolish. The iPhone 5 will truly be worth the upgrade.
