The Sony PS3 has its moments of demise. This statement holds true when you play Rugby League Live for the first and probably the last time.
If you’re still interested in blowing off your hard earned weekly allowance, only to end up with a linear and repetitive game, then continue reading. Rugby League Live is based on a football+soccer combo. The most that you can get out of it is:
• Some sort of fun to have, when you are playing offense.
The rest of the game is just a blur and frankly, in my opinion, it is a mockery. The graphics are not that impressive, I doubt if your little kid is ever going to love this game. Perhaps, the most challenging aspect of Rugby League Live is its controls. The developers set them in such a way that they’re more of a challenge, rather than being an ease.
The plus side of Rugby League Live says that the passing game feels quite good. You have your allies running on your left and right. Proper and timely use of shoulder buttons is responsive, offering a wide range of options.
As mentioned before, attacks can only be interesting if you’re used to unreliable and unresponsive controls. Do expect Rugby League Live to leave you in the middle of a weird moment, when you’re trying to pass and the ball hauls itself off to the farthest player at the most vulnerable position.
