Microsoft to Release Windows 7 Code on September 16

Microsoft has made announcements concerning the finalization of code base for Windows 7 mobile phone OS. The version 1.0 of the software has been given a green signal. It means that the latest Windows 7 OS powered smartphones will have the same version of the software in them.

Microsoft will finally release the production version of the Windows 7 OS on September 16. Followed by that date, the company will immediately try to launch the new app store for Windows users. This news is a strong indicator of the handset availability in the market.

The whole news made its way to the tech world through the company’s official blog by Terry Myerson. The guy is also the Vice President of Microsoft’s Windows Phone Engineering. Myerson has also written about the various aspects of Microsoft’s testing program for the new OS.

“On daily basis, over 10,000 devices used to run tests. This amounted up to millions of hours of active self hosting use of Windows Mobile OS. We also conducted tons of stress tests and fully automated tests to ensure the safety and reliability of the software” – wrote the V.P.
