Google Maps and Google Places Page To Get Certain Enhancements – Branded Icons

Google has made a certain enhancements to its Maps and Places Pages. Things literally stick out this time; if you can’t catch my drift, try Google Maps and Google Places Page for a couple of times. You’ll notice that Google is offering branded icons for whatever store or franchise wants to participate in the map.

Google-Maps-and-Google-Places-Page For example, a Bank with a specific name will show up on your screen, with its own logo and description. However, Google is not doing is for free. The company is charging interested parties, who want their brand icons to be placed on the map. Though, the search isn’t revealing the actual figure that is being charged, we have a good idea that it’s a humongous amount.

The new feature is still in its Beta phases. It means that only those companies can participate that already had their location pinpointed on the map – their default icons will be replaced by unique logos. Once the Beta stage is over, Google will be going exclusive with tons of companies signing up for the whole package.

No doubt, the new offer will help those stores get the most out of pay per click packages. Let’s just hope that Google map doesn’t look like another clamped up page with tons of ads and little or no display.
