Verizon iPhone and Service Can Turn Smartphone Market Upside Down

The AT&T and Apple duo may be a significant market cow, but lately, there has been a new competitor around. It’s none other than Verizon, the legendary carrier with a lion’s share in the market. The fact that Verizon has been gaining popularity is mainly because of those U.S. subscribers.

Also, unlike AT&T, users think that Verizon’s services are a lot better and affordable. Verizon will continue to flourish in the smartphone market. Maybe soon enough, Google will have to look out for it. As of now, Verizon is leeching on Google’s smartphone OS. But chances are that with enough money supply, Verizon will be able to develop its own mobile OS. (But that’s by a long shot though)

Moreover, the Motorola handsets have also helped lead the mobile OS in total sales figures. The combined result of Android and Verizon sales stands at a whopping 28% of the market share. Whereas, Apple is lagging behind at 23% sales .

Apart from that Verizon will get the iPhone. It is expected that the Verizon iPhone will be released in January. In fact, such a move can lead to changes in the samrtphone market.

Market surveys and customer feedbacks have revealed that Verizon has the best Android phones. Some reports have confirmed that Verizon has already signed contracts with Motorola and Samsung for next year releases.
