Google and YouTube to Launch $5 Pay Per View Movie Rental Service

The tech media is all a buzz that Google has been negotiating with the movie studios to cut a deal whereby Google and YouTube will be able to offer movies on a pay per view basis at $5 US Dollars for a 48 hour pay and play timeline. If this service gets the go ahead a gateway will be needed to get the YouTube on the PC to also play seamlessly simultaneously on TV platforms.

But here is where Google TV have a role to play. Google TV has wanted and needs a route into the living rooms and parlors of TV watchers, a quick fix to land in front of folks watching TV is to deliver by offering a $5 Pay Per View Movie Rental Service. Will it happen well considering all the competition in the TV sector cable, Apple TV, Amazon et al. At this time if Google TV wants to become a player in the TV world then they need pay per view movies.
